Privacy Policy for CardScanList

Off-Ramp Development ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. CardScanList is designed to collect and retain as little information as possible while helping you create grocery lists from meal kit recipe cards.
Information We Collect

CardScanList does not require you to create an account.

The app does not collect or store your grocery lists, recipe cards, or personal information on Off-Ramp Development's servers.

Images You Choose
CardScanList only processes images that you intentionally provide by taking a photo or selecting
an image to import. The app does not browse, scan, or analyze your photo library.
AI Processing
When you scan or import a recipe card and an internet connection is available, the selected image and the OCR text extracted from it are securely sent to an AI service to improve ingredient recognition and correct OCR errors.
If an internet connection is unavailable, CardScanList continues to function using the OCR results generated on your device.
Off-Ramp Development does not store your recipe images or OCR data after AI processing is complete.
Local Storage
Your grocery lists, scans, and app settings are stored locally on your device.
When you export a grocery list, you choose where it is sent. After export, the privacy practices of the destination app apply.

Permissions

Depending on how you use the app, CardScanList may request permission to:

Use your camera to photograph recipe cards.

Allow you to select images that you choose to import.

Access the internet to perform AI-assisted OCR improvement.

CardScanList requests only the permissions needed to perform these functions.

Third-Party Services
CardScanList uses third-party services that may include:
Google Play Services
AI processing services used to improve OCR results
These services operate under their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

CardScanList is not intended for children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, along with the updated effective date.
